Why Easy On and Easy Off Shoes Matter

Why Easy On and Easy Off Shoes Matter

A hectic morning.  Time's running against you.  Who hasn't yet been there?!  The problem with shoes is that they won't function if not properly fastened.  A cardigan with two out of three buttons closed will do the job in a busy rush.  A shoe with two out of three fastenings closed will only cause more delay.  Who's tried it?

You're racing furiously, gripping your toddler's hand, when they try to break free.  You speed on, strengthening your hold, mentally making a note to check out the cause of the disobedience, when a polite tap on your shoulder stops your marathon.  Now you stop and think.  You thank the stranger for retrieving your toddler's shoe as you step aside, and spend the minutes you thought you'd saved, properly fastening their shoes!

DO EASY ON EASY OFF FASTENED SHOES SUPPORT THE FOOT?

At Kidstep all of our shoes are made with easy on and easy off fastenings.  Your child's shoes will be securely on and closed in a flash.  Our shoes have easy fastenings yet no compromise on the support they offer.  That's our skill.  Every shoe's fastening is carefully positioned so they provide optimal support.

EASY ON EASY OFF SHOES ADVICE

We recommend avoiding shoes with laces closures when your child is learning to dress themselves.  Stick to easy on off shoes during this development phase.  Once your child has mastered dressing themselves confidently, and depending on their individual motor skills, you may like to try a shoe with a lace up closure.  We generally don't recommend this before the age of 8.  All of our young school shoes have a variety of easy on easy off fastenings to make your days and growing up convenient !
